A Public Opinion Survey of Voters of Punjab (Election 2024)
- As the February 2024 elections draw near, the survey outcomes highlight that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is poised to lead with 45%. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) closely trails with 35%. The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) secures 8%, while the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) garner 5% and 2%, respectively. The recently emerged party, IPP, holds a modest 1%.
- As per this survey report PMLN has regained its lost popularity which they enjoyed in 2013 when they received 41% of votes and now, they are standing around the same level at 45%. Whereas PTI support is steady at 35% as comparing to last July 2018 elections in Punjab.
- When asked which political leader in Pakistan can pull the country out of the current political and economic crises, the survey reveals robust support for Mian Nawaz Sharif (45%). Imran Khan maintains significant backing (36%).Bilawal Bhutto secures a moderate 6% support, while Maryam Nawaz, Shahbaz Sharif, and Jahangir Tareen trail behind with 1-2%.
- When asked about which political party do you envision forming the government in Punjab and the Federation after the upcoming elections? The results indicate that PML-N has emerged as the frontrunner for forming the government in Punjab, while PTI remains a substantial contender with a significant voter base.
