IPOR conducts CATI Survey in Iran!

IPOR successfully conducted a series of two Computer Assisted Telephonic Interview (CATI) surveys in Iran. The survey was conducted on different Socio-Political aspects with the young Iranians less than of 30 year of age. A sample of 15,000, in each wave, was achieved by employing services of 40 experienced Persian speaking (with Iranian dialect) enumerators. A simple random sampling technique was used for the data collection from the specified age group (18-30 years). A software was developed to integrate the telephony with call center applications uploading the research tool for punching data directly to the data-base. With this CATI software, IPOR produced various detail and survey summary reports to effectively manage the project. These include total and per-hour results-by- interviewer, results per day or per attempt, the number of telephone numbers still active, response rate, etc. All the telecom networks of Iran were used for data collection to minimize the selection bias.
