IPOR conducted two virtual training session on Public Opinion Research with the members of 17th Youth Parliament Pakistan

To fulfil the social and corporate responsibilities, IPOR Executive Director Mr. Tariq Junaid delivered a virtual training session on Public Opinion Polling to the members of the 17th Youth Parliament Pakistan a project of Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) Pakistan. Mr. Tariq Junaid introduced the members with the types of opinion research such as the political and social research, quantitative and qualitative research, sampling methods, data collection plan, data review, data analysis and report writing techniques. The second day session covered the training on Android Application, methods of data collections and SOPs for data collection during the COVID 19.

At the end of each session, an interactive question & answer session was held with the Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs), regarding ethical disposal of data once its collected and analyzed for research purpose, reducing political infiltration in public opinion surveys, digitalizing or consolidating the data through institutions, conducting surveys with minorities like transgender who do not want to disclose their identities, inclusion of overseas Pakistanis in the survey, finding the most effective method to do sampling, handling the gender ratio, selection of Households, rapport building as well as questions on issues in field work.

 Mr. Ahmed Bilal Mehboob, President, PILDAT in his concluding remarks thanked to Mr. Tariq for his time, effort, and collaboration and expressed his gratitude for such a useful and interactive sessions.
