Asian Development Bank awarded a multi country project to IPOR’s Executive Director

In another effort towards social development and engagement in the international development sector, IPOR’s Executive Director Mr. Tariq Junaid has been awarded a multi country project, “CAREC News and Information Use and Attitudes Survey” with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program is a partnership of eleven countries- Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, the People’s Republic of China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and development partners working together to promote development through cooperation, leading to accelerated economic growth and poverty reduction.

The project is focused on learning about the preferences and attitudes on news and information use of Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) stakeholders and general public of selected Central Asian Regional countries as well as capacity building of CAREC institute in opinion polls. As a consultant of this project, Mr. Tariq Junaid will travel to these countries to meet the stakeholders and for efficient and quality data collection.

The project will help to strengthen program communication, by enabling the strategic use and targeting of appropriate information tools to enhance the CAREC program’s outreach through improved communication strategy and tools.
