A Nation-wide Public Opinion Poll in the wake of 2nd COVID-Wave

This is the fourth survey of series of polls, presenting the latest public perception on COVID-19 pandemic in the wake of wave II. The main points of the survey includes:

Majority (60%) of the Pakistanis believed that the Coronavirus is a real pandemic, while 25% yet don’t believe it and said it’s an international conspiracy and remaining 15% said they don’t know or have no response.
rn56% of the respondents said they are willing to take this vaccine, but 34% are reluctant and said they will not take any vaccine citing the different reasons.
rnIPOR conducted a similar survey in June 2020 during Wave-I of the pandemic and now comparing these results in wake of Wave-II, there is a drop of 11% in this wave from 67% to 56% who are willing to take vaccine.  The major reason for this drop is, now people think that Coronavirus is not as hazardous as it was supposed to be.
rnMajority 35% of the respondents preferred Chinese vaccine over the vaccine from other countries. While 14% said they would choose if vaccine is made by Pakistan, followed by 9% USA & 5% UK.
rnIPOR asked a similar question in June 2020 during Wave-I of the pandemic and now comparing these results in wake of 2nd Wave, there is an improvement of 4% in approval rating of PM from 52% to 56% only regarding the handling of coronavirus situation in the country.
rnMajority 56% of the respondents said opposition should postpone their gathering and public meetings amid deadly second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
