61% of the Pakistanis think that the Recent Elections were largely Free & Fair

According to a Survey carried out by Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR), 61% of the Pakistanis think that Elections in May 2013 were largely free & fair as opposed to only 14% thought the elections were not free and fair.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Do you think, the recently held general elections were free and fair?” Responding to this, 61% said yes, 14% said No and 25% either did not know or abstained to respond to this question.

The recent Study was carried out by Institute for Public Opinion Research among a sample of 2489 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during May 18-29, 2013. Margin of Error is estimated to be approximately ± 2% at 95% confidence level.
