Opinion Polls help Leaders to make plans with Public Support: Executive Director IPOR addresses youth parliament

Opinion Polls assist leaders to understand what general public thinks about their policies, said by Mr. Tariq Juniad in the first session of “The Youth Parliament Pakistan” held on 18th September, 2013. Young enthusiastic Youth Parliamentarians discussed current problems and their possible solutions in the session.  Executive Director IPOR, Mr. Tariq Junaid delivered a lecture on Public opinion polling in Pakistan. In his informative session he informed audience about importance of Opinion Polls, its procedure and sampling techniques. At international level opinion polls are taken seriously and results are used to foresee upcoming changes in their region, said by Mr Junaid. He also emphasized on the accuracy of results of polls conducted before elections in USA, UK and recently in Pakistan. He concluded by telling that findings of Polls conducted before elections,2013 in Pakistan were so close to the actual results, which shows that Polls assist in knowing what Public actually thinks. At the end The Youth Parliament members asked questions from the guest speaker.
